Melina Mangal, author, will be reading her very own Jayden's Impossible Garden at 9:00 AM. Her book is about Jayden and a new friend bringing nature into the city through a community garden.
Zora's Zucchini
Antonio Alba, Sharing Our Roots, will be our guest reader at 10:00 AM. He will be reading the book Zora's Zucchini by Katherine Pryor in Spanish. The story is about a garden that grows more zucchini then her family can use so a resourceful little girl started a garden swap.

Ben and Barret The Carrot, Open Hands Farm, will be our guest reader at 9:00 AM. They will be reading the book The Giant Carrot by Jan Peck. The story is about a family planting a carrot seed and the power of teamwork.

Patrice Bailey, Assistant Commissioner, will be our guest reader at 10:00 AM. He will be reading the book Harlem Grown by Tony Hillery. This book is a true story about how an urban farm transformed a neighborhood.

Harrison Phillips, Minnesota Vikings, will be our guest reader at 10:00 AM. He will be reading the book Clarabelle Making Milk and So Much More by Cris Peterson. This book is about following a day in the life of Clarabelle, one of 1,200 cows on a Wisconsin dairy farm.
