Farming is a complex profession that relies on a team of experts to successfully manage a farm business. On this teacher tour you will have the opportunity to tour and explore different teams that a farmer relies on to do their job well. From financing, a farm tour, equipment selection, ethanol production, and time for connection at a local winery. You will walk away from this day with a deeper understanding of what it takes to get a crop from farm to the commodity market. In addition to a deeper personal understanding of Minnesota agriculture, you will be equipped with resources and knowledge to bring back to your students in the fall. Best of all, the connections and collaboration you will forge with other area educators will expand your insights about how others are bringing agriculture learning into their classroom experiences.
