Each summer, Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom offers professional development experiences that help educators make meaningful connections between agriculture and classroom learning.
In summer 2026, educators are invited to participate in two opportunities designed to provide real-world experiences, practical strategies, and strong curriculum connections.

Growing Minds Conference
July 27–28, 2026 | St. Paul College, St. Paul, MN | 16 CEUs
The Growing Minds Conference is a two-day professional development experience for K–12 educators interested in bringing plants and animals, food, and agriculture into their classrooms. Hosted jointly by Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom and Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom, the conference offers immersive learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
What educators can expect:
- Immersive agricultural tours with behind-the-scenes access
- Interactive breakout sessions aligned to academic standards
- Fast-paced mini sessions led by Minnesota and Wisconsin educators
- Opportunities to connect with fellow educators and agriculture professionals
Central Minnesota Summer Teacher Tour
July 15, 2026 | Little Falls, MN | 8 CEUs
In addition to the conference, Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom will host a one-day Summer Teacher Tour highlighting agriculture in Central Minnesota.
The tour will include visits to Smude Farms in Pierz, featuring sunflowers and cattle, and Sprout in Little Falls, where educators will engage with diverse agricultural operations.
This experience is designed to provide meaningful, real-world connections to classroom curriculum and support educators in confidently integrating agriculture concepts across subject areas.
