May is Beef Month! Join us for the Brenny Farms Virtual Field Trip to Ted and Katie’s beef farm in Mazeppa, Minnesota. They are both 5th generation farmers and are the owners of Brenny Farms. Beef is what is raised on the farm along with green grass. The beef cows consist of Angus and Charolais genetics. Brenny Farms is committed to being environmental stewards of the land by improving water quality and natural habitat.

Join us as we visit the Mathiowetz Family Farm in Morgan, Minnesota. Joel is a fifth-generation farmer working alongside his father, brother and two uncles raising corn, soybeans and peas. We will be in the tractor with him as he is in the field sharing about farming corn and soybeans and he does to get his crops planted.

Visit Oakdale Farm in west central MN where we will meet turkey farmer Erica Sawatzke. She is a 6th generation turkey farmer. Erica farms with her father and husband, although her husband also teaches high school agriculture. They grow corn and soybeans, and raise light hens. Erica and her husband have a 16 month old daughter who loves turkeys as much as they do!
