Annually the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) holds the LEAP Conference. The conference is hosted by the MFBF Promotion & Education and the Young Farmers and Ranchers Committees to educate young members on leadership and agriculture advocacy.
The 2022 LEAP Conference was held in Minnetonka, Minnesota on January 28 and 29. Four leaders were presented awards for their Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Promotion (LEAP) efforts over the past year. We are overjoyed to share that our Northern Minnesota Regional Agricultural Curriculum Specialist, Sarah Kuschel, was awarded this year's Golden Apple Award.

The Golden Apple Award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond to work with Agriculture in the Classroom programs and educate others about farming and ranching. Working with a variety of groups to promote the Ag in the Classroom program, Kuschel also serves as a regional curriculum specialist for the program.
