Mankato, MN | The Hands that Feed Us Teacher Tour
On June 18, 2024 join us in Mankato, Minnesota as we jump on The Hands that Feed Us Teacher Tour. Educators will have the opportunity to tour three unique farms and connect with farmers who are growing and raising food for not only their local communities, but the world. During this teacher tour, you will be given resources and knowledge to bring back to your students in the fall. Site visits include The Little Green Wagon, Sasse Lake Farms and Dauk Farms.
White Bear Lake, MN | Orchard to Market Teacher Tour
Join us on July 9, 2024 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota for the Orchard to Market Teacher Tour. On this tour, you will be immersed in the orchards at Pine Tree Apple orchard to learn about every aspect of apple production. You will get a taste of what produce processing, distribution and fruit and landscape plant production is all about. Apple and fruit themed resources that provide a context for learning in science and social studies will be shared. Site visits include Pine Tree Apple Orchard, Bix Produce Co. and Bailey Nurseries.
Bemidji, MN | Farm, Fiber and Fabrication Teacher Tour
Travel to Bemidji, Minnesota on July 22, 2024 to join the Farm, Fiber and Fabrication Teacher Tour. Educators will get the opportunity to see a behind the scenes look into farm, fiber and fabrication operations and businesses in northern Minnesota. Not only will you enjoy a delicious farm-to-table lunch, you will also be provided materials and knowledge that will easily be applied to your classroom in the fall. Site visits include Wells Technology, Bemidji Woolen Mills, Gustafson Farms (Beef & Crops) and Table for 7.
