Farm and Food Book Month 2025

Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom is excited to host the fifth annual Farm and Food Book Month! Plan to join us on Zoom during the month for virtual agriculture-themed book readings by special guest readers.

My Family's Dairy Farm

Rachel Visser, Princess Kay of the Milky Way, will be reading a dairy-themed book, My Family's Dairy Farm. In this book, a little boy named Lucas takes you on a tour of his family's dairy farm to teach about dairy products and dairy systems.

Saturdays at Harlem Grown

Patrice Bailey, Assistant Commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, will be reading Saturdays at Harlem Grown, a companion book to Harlem Grown. This book tells the story of the people that came to help with the farm on Saturdays, and how they came together when it was time to harvest.

Still There Was Bread
