DESCRIPTION:Date: July 9 \nTime: 8:00am – 5:00pm \nBeginning and Ending Location: Pine Tree Apple Orchard\, White Bear Lake\, MN \n9 CEUs \nIf teachers were apples\, we would pick you to join us as we learn about how this tasty fruit is researched\, grown\, and made into delicious products in the Twin Cities. This summer\, we will go on a wagon ride amongst the trees of Pine Tree Apple Orchard as we learn about plant growth\, insect and pest management\, weather protection\, tree care and their connection with University of Minnesota research. We will step behind-the-scenes at Bix Produce Co. to learn about produce processing and distribution from one of the area’s leading produce distributors. Bailey Nurseries is excited to share how their locations are involved with fruit and landscape plant production locally\, as well as across the country.
