Do I need to login in order?
No, you don’t need to login to order AgMags. You can create an account and it will save you time in entering your address and additional check out information. However, our free AgMags do not require a login. If you have a problem with your account, please email [email protected].
How many AgMags should I order?
We would like to send you one for every student. We know sometimes students can lose things or you may have a student added to your class after you place an order, please order enough copies so each student has their own AgMag, plus a couple extra!
When will AgMags ship?
If you select the “Sign-up For All Issues” option, the AgMags will ship directly from our printer to you in October and March.
How does MAITC decide the content in the AgMag?
Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom (MAITC) staff look at Minnesota academic standards and benchmarks, then compare the National Ag Literacy Outcomes to determine appropriate, relevant topics to feature. MAITC staff take those topics and story ideas to the AgMag Development team that includes a graphic designer, writers, editor and Minnesota teacher reviewers.
Are the AgMags available online?
Yes, each AgMag is available as a flippable PDF and interactive test on mnagmag.org. Tap AgMag > Select Your Specific Grade > Select the Fall or Spring Issue > Enjoy the flippable PDF and interactive activities for each AgMag.
Is there a Teacher Guide for the AgMag?
Yes! Each grade level AgMag has a corresponding teacher guide and can be found here.
Is there a cost to sign-up for the AgMags?
No, there is no cost to receive the AgMags thanks to the Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation and its supporters.
How are the AgMags funded?
AgMags are funded from the Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation. The foundation is supported by many individuals, organizations and businesses. See an updated list of supporters.
Can I sign-up for multiple grade levels of AgMags?
You are welcome to sign up for multiple grade levels of AgMags. Whether you are an educator of multiple grades or an educational organization, AgMags are here to be a resource for your students.
Should I sign-up for my entire school and/or grade level? Or should each teacher sign up individually?
In order to ensure that everyone is receiving the necessary amount for their classroom, we encourage each teacher to sign up for AgMags individually. If you know a fellow educator who is not utilizing AgMags, help us in spreading the word and encourage your colleagues to sign up for the AgMag!
How often is the content changed in the AgMags?
We currently have fourteen AgMags with two grade-specific fall and spring editions for students kindergarten through sixth grade. Each year we review the content and update 4-6 AgMags. Thus, all the AgMags are edited in a three year rotational schedule.
Do I have to be a teacher to sign-up for the AgMag?
You do not need to be a teacher to sign up for the AgMag! The AgMag series is targeted to kindergarten through sixth grade teachers, but anyone can sign up for the AgMag.
